If money were

no object, what would you do all day?

Volunteer with an organization that gives back to the community

How did you come to work at Hatua Likoni? A friend I use to work with told me about a survey and a training. I went with her to do the baseline survey, which ended up being for Hatua. I then became friends with Cynthia, one of Hatua’s employees. She told me they needed a secretary, was I interested? She spoke with Gabi and then I spoke with her. I started volunteering and eventually got hired on.

Favorite Program: Scholarship. I like the scholarship department, because it has a lot of challenges that make me stronger. It is also eye opening- doing home visits and seeing the families and how student’s lives are compared to each other and to mine.

What’s your biggest success up until now? Getting a job and having it for 5 years.

Embarrassing Story: I went for a camp outside of secondary school. A big group of us were seated together having lunch. As I was eating I opened the back of my skirt. I forgot that it was open when the bell rang. When it rings you’re suppose to drop everything and go to the next event. Well, I just stood up and kept walking without noticing that my skirt was open. It then fell off. People were laughing and shouting. I was so embarrassed. Thankfully I had a biker (spanks) on.
